Introduction to Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver is part of the Adobe Creative Suite, and as such, it is laid out in a fashion similar to all the other programs therein.

Setting up Your Site

First and foremost, create a folder on your desktop and name it something clear: “class_work,” “my_site,” or something of the like.

In Dreamweaver, create a new HTML file and save it in the folder as “index.html”

Inside of that folder, create 2 additional folders, one called “docs” and one called “images.”

This is what your folder should look like now:

Always keep your site files organized neatly like this: all documents other than index.html go in the folder called docs, all images in the one called images. This will save you a lot of strife later on.
